Only 1-1/2 hours outside of Helsinki is The iittala Glass Center, the center of iittala glass designs. Here you will find the timeless Aalto Vase being produced along with other signature glass iittala pieces. In addition to the glass factory, the iittala Glass Center offers much more for visitors. It’s a great day trip to make from Helsinki.

Iittala is situated in Hämeenlinna, on the Helsinki-Tampere road, about 15 min. from Hämeenlinna centre and about 1-1/2 hours going north from Helsinki. You can also get to Iittala by bus and train. Check www.vr.fi for more information.
